How important is it?-Crating your valuables

WHAT IS CRATING SERVICE AND WHEN TO USE IT:

Crating effectively prevents damage; there are times when something has a value that cannot be replaced.  Or it is simply valuable. To get these items from A-B safely you will want to talk to your sales rep about whether something should be crated, and the cost associated.  Most crating is custom to your piece, and all measurements are very important.   This is also a good time to talk about high-value items as it relates to Valuation and Insurance for your move. Although the cost is increased, so is the protection.

One very important piece to moving things safely is to make sure you mention these items to the sales rep who is building out your estimate and allocating your move team.  We often over look our artwork and maybe do not think about that expensive LED 4K tv when talking to the movers its a good idea to create a list of expensive and valuable items!

  • Increased Protection:
Crating offers an extra level of protection against bumps, vibrations, and shifts during transit, which is especially important for long-distance moves or when the shipment may be stored.

  • Valuable or Fragile Items:
Items that are easily breakable, expensive, or require special handling, such as artwork, antiques, glassware, and high-value electronics, benefit from crating.

  • Oversized or Irregularly Shaped Items:
Goods that don’t fit into standard boxes or require more support than a typical packing material can provide, such as large sculptures, musical instruments, or special equipment, can be crated.

  • Peace of Mind:
Using crating services ensures that high-value items receive the specialized care they need for a secure and successful move.
